Given the stringent requirements of modifying an existing historic Victorian building in San Francisco, the exterior of the projects restores the façade to it’s original state. The crimson façade is complimented by a new brick courtyard. The brick work is carried around the exterior to the rear yard. Contrasting the crimson and brick exterior the interior is wrapped in white walls and quarter sawn oak floors. The removal of several walls opens up the ground floor plan allowing natural light to fill the house from all sides.
