What is it like working with the AS Architecture, Inc. team?

When you work with us, we want to ensure you have a seamless, efficient, and fun process in designing and permitting your project!

We start by working closely with you on all the design aspects of the project for exterior to interior to landscape. You define the scope of project and we create the best version of your vision. We will present several design options after understanding all of your wants and needs. For design, we want to hone into a final design that works with your aesthetics, your lifestyle, and your budget.

Once the design is in place, we will begin creating technical construction documents which are used for local jurisdiction approvals/permitting as well as giving a set of instructions to a contractor to build your project.

Ahead of a project being built, we offer services to help price out your project.

During construction we offer services that help ensure the project is built and executed as designed.

How much are architectural services?

Every project has a variety of different factors that could affect the cost of architectural services. We tailor each of our proposals to the specific client/project needs. How long will my project take to design and permit?

Every project we work has specific project needs and requirements. For the creation of design and construction documents, and to manage the permitting process with the local jurisdiction where the project is located could take anywhere from a month for small interior remodel projects to 1+ year for new construction custom homes. The location is which the property is located can also have a large affect on this, larger cities and older (less construction friendly) neighborhoods may take much longer to review and approve projects compared to newer neighbors and smaller cities/towns.

What cities and areas does AS Architecture, Inc work in?

As we are based in both San Francisco and Sacramento, a majority of our work is throughout both the SF Bay Area and the Greater Sacramento Region. We are currently working as far north as Truckee, California and as far south as the Greater Los Angeles area.

Do I need an Architect or can I create plans myself?

Per the California Business and Professions Code, there are some structures that do not require a licensed architect to design and prepare plans. If you choose not to work with an Architect, you will want to ensure that your project and your plans meet all Zoning Code and Building Code regulations along with any special regulations that may pertain to your particular property/project.
