The Firm
AS Architecture, Inc is a full service architecture firm. We love working closely with our clients to create beautiful and timeless residential architecture. Combining our experience and expertise in architecture, interiors, and construction, we bring a highly detailed approach to our work to ensure a positive lasting impact on the people who will live, use, and enjoy our buildings.
Our detailed approach starts with understanding the specific needs and desires of each client. We curate the design with an inclusive dialog where clients continually participate throughout the design process. This process creates more enjoyable spaces, environments, and experiences. This inclusive dialog further extends into working closely with engineers, contractors and craftspeople to achieve the highest quality architecture and interiors.
We are located in San Francisco and Sacramento, California and work all throughout Northern and Southern California.
Approach
Place
A place is what can distinguish one experience from another. The physical and tangible things we encounter is what can connect us with the immediate surrounding context. Timeless sustainable principles such as a building’s orientation, sun path, climate, vegetation, and local materials are some of the many aspects we examine in all our work.
Community
We strive to support, serve and strengthen the local communities in which we work. We work closely with community members, neighbors, and government jurisdictions to ensure the success of our projects. We love giving back to the community in the form of community service events and free presentations/lectures in an effort to create more equitable cities.
Craft
Working alongside craftspeople, contractors, and engineers continually provides insight on the strong relationship between tools, technique and materials. We appreciate that building is a collaborative effort that takes many individuals to create something of beauty and harmony. Our work emphasizes the material culture of a place and the knowledge of local builders.

David's passion for architecture is deeply inspired by his personal story of resilience and the importance of community. His journey began in the Philippines, where losses and challenges hit hard. Along the tides of hardships, his grandparents provided a sanctuary that deepened my understanding of love and inclusion. He forged a path through academia, which led him to discover his passion for architecture, a means to craft enduring spaces that foster connection, growth, and belonging.David is currently working on ADUs throughout California.
