The design of the Summit Residence in the Berkeley Hills creates a modern treehouse with a building that lightly touches the ground beneath. Service spaces, including MEP, storage, and stairs, are clustered towards the center/street side of the house, with living and sleeping spaces arranged along the perimeter to maximize the SF Bay views.
The interior of the living spaces is lined with timeless wood objects and walls.
The interior service spaces, like bathrooms, are lined with deep blue tiles. Paired with the continuation of wooden decor and a green kitchen background, these spaces create a cohesive connection to nature while providing a spa-like atmosphere for both residents and guests.
