A small house for a small lot.

The design challenge for this residence was to create 3bed/2bath house with a very limited budget. To create an efficient compact form, the house does not waste any space on circulation. Service spaces such as storage and kitchens create privacy between living spaces and sleeping spaces.

The exterior form and facade reflect the internal configuration by using large pieces of glass in the living spaces and smaller windows in the sleeping spaces. A continuous smooth stucco frame around the south façade provided sun shading. This smooth stucco frame is contrasted by a rough raked stucco walls.
